Today, we’ll glued the new roof down. We won’t make the mistake we made last time by cutting the roof where the metal drainage gutters are. This time, we’ll be leaving the rubber in one piece.

The first step is to get the rubber in place so that it’s covering the entire roof…

Then, the easiest method to get it glued down is to work on one half at a time…

The adhesive gets applied using a paint roller…

You apply the adhesive to the wood roof, and the back side of the rubber.

Then, you carefully roll the rubber roof back over the wood, trying to keep it as smooth as possible.

More adhesive is applied…

And the rubber is secured. First half of the application went fairly smoothly…

Now, the other half…

Adhesive applied to the first section…

And, installed. We got a little bit of bunching up in one small area, but it’s not too bad…

And, the last bit of the new roof, glued down…
