Continuing with the mission, the side bay window area is next to be painted. But, before I can start painting, the top portion needs some attention. Over the past few years, we’ve had birds and squirrels tearing holes in the old wood to get in and make nests. Usually, this always seemed to happen at times when the weather wasn’t the best, so I applied “quick fixes” as a deterrent. As you can see, there’s only one piece of original Crown Moulding remaining on the North side and there’s a big chunk of metal that someone added on the South side. Now, I will properly fix these areas…

With all of the “deterrents” removed, this is what’s left of the original fascia boards…
