The new PVC pieces have been added to the left side of the arbor front. I just need to deal with the small quarter round trim pieces. With the pieces all painted and reassembled, the PVC actually looks like wood.
After a year, here is what our new walkway path idea looks like. The “ground cover” is a bit more wild than we anticipated. I guess we need to come up with a different type that doesn’t get as tall.

I screwed a scrap piece of wood to the lathe to cover the giant hole in the wall. Then, carved out a bit of the plaster where the new phone mount plate will go. Phone mounted to the new bracket. Detail of the phone.
