Light fixture installed. New receptacle installed. Remaining wire tacked down under the stairs. New beadboard finished on the closet ceiling.
New wiring that leads to the new receptacle run down to a new junction box. The wire leading up to the new receptacle, tacked into place.

New wiring dropped through the hole that leads to the new receptacle. Locating the position where the wire needs to go up, into the closet door jamb. Hole drilled through the floor above, and the wire has been fed up into it.
With the cedar plank all installed, it’s time to start working on making the rest of the interior of the closet look nice. Here, I’ve installed one bracket that will hold a wooden dowel to be used to hang coats, etc. This part of the underside of the stairs will be covered in shellacked beadboard… […]
