Yearly Changes Archive

Winter 2000
This is the photo from our county’s tax data website. We’re estimating it was taken in the Winter of 2000, but we aren’t 100% positive. Since the picture shows the house pretty much how it looked when we moved in, we decided to use it as the first photo in the archive.

November 2003
Notable changes: New roof on the main part of the main house, new eave troughs on main house, some new paint on the upper parts of the main house, the new picket fence, and the addition of some new flower beds.

November 2004
Notable changes: Upper part of tower side finished, the front left side of the breezeway completed, and the new breezeway roof (both not easily seen in this shot).

November 2005
Notable changes: New roof on summer kitchen/servant’s quarters, the front right side of the breezeway completed (not easily seen in this shot), and the archway over the front gate with the lattice work trellis on each side.

December 2006
Notable changes: Scaffolding and partially finished roof (front side) on tower as well as the addition of another section of lattice work trellis on the right side of the front arbor.

November 2007
Notable changes: More new shingles added to the tower roof (front side).

December 2008
Notable changes: More new shingles added to the tower roof (front side). Also, our neighbor’s big tree behind our house is gone (due to a July storm that was packing 100mph straight-line winds).

November 2009
Notable changes: Not many major changes visible in this shot. The new front on the carriage house/garage is partially visible.

November 2010
Notable changes: Not many major changes visible in this shot. The stacks of bricks were supposed to be for rebuilding the main chimney, but this summer’s weather was uncooperative (too much rain), so the job didn’t even get started.

December 2011
Notable changes: New siding installed and painted on lower part of the east wall. The stacks of bricks were supposed to be for rebuilding the main chimney last year, but the spring weather was uncooperative (too much rain), so the job didn’t even get started (once again).
