The bottom portion of the siding was almost completely deteriorated due to being under the roll roofing on the old Breezeway roof. So, rather than replace it with wood, we decided to use cement board siding for the first course where it comes in close contact with the rubber roof. We’re hoping this will deter rot.
The first course of cement board siding installed, along with the next piece of woos siding.

Another piece of wood siding stripped, installed and ready for paint.
