Parlor – The Restoration (Phase 1) – Ceiling Painting

After all of the popcorn texture was scraped off, we painted using regular ceiling paint.  One problem we found with this method was that the remaining old ceiling texture would quickly absorb the new paint.  If you tried to rollover an area that was beginning to dry, the old texture would stick to the roller and pull away from the old plaster.  So, we ended up with a few smooth spots here and there.  Luckily, it’s not too noticeable, and since this is just “phase 1” we can always correct those when it comes time for the actual restoration of this room.
