Ceiling area around light has been filled in with joint compound, and smoothed.
Last part of the new wiring complete. Openings in the wall have been covered with new lath. The hole where the old light switch was has been closed up, as well. We’re also trying a new technique that I had found talked about on the internet. The use of “plaster washers” to try and shore up areas of the plaster that are in good shape, but run the risk of loosening up over time. It’s basically a small disk that you attach with a screw that bites into the lath below. You can actually see several of them along the rough edge of the plaster above.
The lath work on the upper part of the wall completed. You can also see some of the “plaster washers” attached along the rough edge of the plaster.
