The center medallion about as clean as it’s going to get. A lot of the mustard yellow paint came off with the ceiling texture, exposing the plaster underneath.
The ceiling fan was installed off-center from where the original lighting was installed. I’m guessing that most likely the house originally had gas lighting.
With the ceiling texture all removed, it’s now time to start getting the plaster ceiling ready to be repaired by removing all of the loose or soft plaster.
