Since the paint was removed from the edges of the floor earlier this year, the next step was to sand the wood down so that it matched the level of the rest of the floor. We just used a basic belt sander for this. It created a LOT of dust.
Slow process, but it seems to be getting the job done.
This ares has been sanded with the belt sander to get the floor edge level. After that, we used a hand sander with finer and finer grit sandpaper until it matched the rest of the floor.
